There isn't a team in MLB that doesn't have to fill out their 60-man player pool with some minor league prospects.

That's where the development part that Krall talked about comes in.

I am surprised by the Bell quote that Ron posted above. Will and Opening Day are both words that seem like more than coachspeak. Gotta think Aquino and Jankowski would be the leaders in the clubhouse for those spots. De Leon was the other big surprise for me.

Aquino, Schebler and DeLeon are the candidates for me. I'd leave Aquino off unless he is blasting the pitching....

16 homers in one month not enough for you ,, 13, 481 posts and you would pick a guy who batter about .150 for two months,, nice work picking schebler over aquino,

I kind of agree with Bruce. I can't fathom putting Scott Schebler on the roster if you're trying to win games. There's not going to be as good of a spring training schedule or minor league games to gauge whether he's got his mojo back...

schebler;s utter incompetence cost the reds a good start I dont care if aquino struck out in every at bat in september he has ability, and with the right coaching and care , can correct mistakes,, none of the other candidates will EVER do what he did in August

Keep in mind the OD roster will be 30 players. Over time will be reduced to 26.

So Bell’s comment doesn’t say much. It’s a matter of an extra player or two for the larger roster early in the season. Doesn’t mean any shocking player move is likely.

I can't believe Schebler's even taking up a spot on the 60 man. They have Shogo, Castellanos, Winker, Senzel, Ervin, Aquino, VanMeter, Jankowski and Payton. All are more deserving of consideration tbh.

#Reds manager David Bell says Nick Senzel, Eugenio Suárez, "medically speaking they're 100 percent"no players are injured, everyone on the team is "healthy" and "on time"

All 57 players are in Cincinnati
