    Re: Reds 60 Game Schedule

I haven't seen anything on this, but I would assume since we are playing 10 games against the other teams in our division, we would play two five game series. One at home and one on the road to cut down travel. Then since we are playing four games against the AL central, it would break down to two four-game series on the road and four at home with the last series being split two and two (Cleveland). This would cut down the travel and mean that we would have seven series on the road and seven at home. That could easily mean two homestands and two roadtrips?

Not sure about 5 game series.

We're supposed to play Cleveland 6 games

I think Cleveland is 6 and the other AL teams are 3. I might have even heard 2 against some. Cards get a break because their rivals are the Royals.

I think it's six against Cleveland. The last time we play the AL Central we point four against Detroit four against Kansas City and then 3 against the White Sox and twins. I would figure it's going to be the same setup.

The five-game series makes the most sense throughout all of this. Limit exposure as much as possible. Have a team play three five-game series at home and three on the road and just have teams rotate this scenario. A third start with one before moving to three and a third start with two before moving to three.

They travel 14 times, 15 if you count coming back to Cincy after their last game.

That is way too much travel for just 60 games with every other day COVID testing required.

I would have thought we'd play each team in our division an equal amount of games home and away

It's hard to figure out their logic on this. I would have thought they'd limit traveling, but clearly that was not a big concern.

Somehow they made Detroit our "rival" instead of Cleveland?
