I am fired up for this. Our top 3 is top 5 in the league.

    Think Sonny deserved the nod

I remember going to Willies one OD to watch Joey Hamilton get shellacked on OD

    Paul Wilson

Harang like 6 times in a row when he should have been the OD starter like 3 of those times.

    Corey Lidle

    Jimmy Haynes

Lordy, sonny gray looks like Jesus Christ in comparison.

I regularly remind myself that the Reds 2017 opening day starter was Scott Feldman.

I totally forgot about that. Great catch.

I think that was the year that brought bronson back from the beach bar after a year + out of baseball, and let him throw 67 mph screw balls for a few starts, right?

Check that, Bronson got FOURTEEN Starts (Not a few) with a 7 ERA and gave up 23 HRs in 70 innings, Two full years removed from his last start in AZ.

    Wow that rocked.

Nice that there are at least 3 viable choices.

Better than Jimmy Haynes, Joey Hamilton, or Scott Feldman.

Tyler Mahle beats those guys, and he is swingman in this rotation.

#Reds pitching coach Derek Johnson expects the long man reliever to have a lot of value in a 60-game season. Enter Tyler Mahle and Lucas Sims.

In the Reds defense, Bronson started off not horrible (won't say good) then his arm deteriorated. I don't remember the exact injury, but Bronson said something that the pain was too much to continue and retired.
I know I am in the minority, but I liked the fact that Bronson got a curtain call that season. Was nice to see
him one last time. The team was going to stink whether he was on the roster or not.

If they added Bronson to the 2020 team, I would have a problem with it
[Phil ] Castellini celebrated the team's farm system and noted the team had promising prospects who would one day be great Reds -- and then joke then they'd be ex-Reds, saying "of course we're going to lose them". #SellTheTeamBob

Mike Remlinger in 1998 was a good one, as well

Not horrible? He had a 13 era after his first start

And in his first 5 starts, he gave up 20 Earned runs in 25 ip.

    It was embarrassing to watch

Gray looked pretty good today 4 2/3 IP 0ER and 4 hits 2 walks. They ended it with runners on for some reason. One more start Sunday before Opening Day?

Saw Verlander went 5 shutout today. Like to see our Starters hit five right now. Pitch-count is more important, of course. But, you know what I'm saying. Verlander was in the mid-60's after being in the 40's his previous start. How many pitches did Gray do today?

I am guessing about 60 too. He was pushing 50 before the start of the inning.
