Paul O’Neil. I was so heartbroken when he was traded. Sabo was second. My best friend had his glasses. Lol

I turned 10 in 1962 and was a Dodger fan growing up near L.A. Favorite was Sandy Koufax. When he retired, my allegiance moved to Pete Rose & the Reds.

Griffey Jr. I dreamed of him one day becoming a Red.

My age 10 was 1971, and Johnny Bench was my favorite. However, by the time the BRM had won the series in 75 and 76, Caesar Geronimo had become my favorite. Geronimo was probably the weakest link of the team at the plate, but the guy could play CF like no other.
I remember being at a game - probably around 1973-74, watching Geronimo making a catch against the CF wall at Riverfront, turning and making a throw to home plate. The throw was dead accurate on a line, and never touched the ground from Geronimo's hand to the catcher's mitt. I remember all the "ooh's" and "ah's" from the crowd. Those Reds teams from the mid-70's had plenty of offense, but they also had some of the best defense up the middle.

I was 8 in 1975. First pack of cards I ever opened had a Red in it. Cesar Geronimo. I was also left handed like him.

Sadly, I don't think my soon to be 10 year old son has a favorite player. He likes to play baseball, but no real interest in watching it. Luckily he's got an older brother who is heavy into watching baseball!
