And then you turn around and use an admitted lagging indicator to dispute another. Give me a break.

You can't have your cake and eat it to.

Of course TX deaths will rise, as all lagging indicators do. But it is positivity tests at the front end that tells you were you are right now.
The data I presented is the current data, up to the day.

And yes, deaths are a lagging indicator, but even as a lagging indicator, right now in Texas, they are on the rise in a major way. Meaning that it will likely only get worse.

The data just isn’t on your side here.

Yep - I asked the sameish question a few days ago. 70k positives yesterday. Where are they coming from?

Like it or not, the US leads the world by far in obesity and self-inflicted diabetes. Maybe that’s something that will finally be addressed after this is over, but it’s shameful.
I agree that the US society in General is why we're having such a hard time. I've been to a lot of places and the US is by far the most wealthy, resource filled society with access to whatever anyone wants pretty easily (and overweight). I think that's the problem. No one wants to be inconvenienced at all. Everyone wants to be entitled to what they want no matter the consequences for anyone else. We're a spoiled and ungrateful people and it's gotten way worse in the last 30 years or so IMO.

I personally have been staying home. Other than a handful of times where I've had to interact for certain necessities, I haven't come within 10 feet of anyone. I walk outside but avoid anyone coming by moving away. I go to the store but I give everybody else a really wide path and I just loiter in remote areas or keep moving around until the aisle I need to go to is clear. I haven't been to a movie, restaurant (not a good idea with my diet, but I can cheat once a weak or every ten days per my doctor), museum, casino or any other public place since early March. I've been lucky enough to work from home and still can. I wear a mask when I'm out indoors, but can't understand why everyone can't. I don't understand why people can't distance. I don't know why people want to invade my space even when there isn't a pandemic and I don't understand why going to the grocery store is an event for husband, wife and all three kids when only one needs to go and get what's needed. When I do need to go out, I shouldn't have to worry about people providing those common courtesies, but I do and when kids are back in school, the stakes will go up if those things aren't practiced.
All my posts are my opinion - just like yours are. If I forget to state it and you're too dense to see the obvious, look here!

Never said it wouldn't get worse on the death side, just sad the leading indicator (positivity) may show they have turned the corner.

And it isn't about sides. It is about peoples lives. And any indicator that the hot spot isn't getting worse is good news, not a score for one side or the other, even if you have a real hard time realizing that when you are busy throwing it others peoples face.

It's certainly a part of it. More people is going to lead to more "crowding" everywhere those people go, which we know leads to more spread. I'm sure there's more to it - there always is - but having more people in an area is going to make it far easier to be a hot spot than a town of 817 people in the middle of nowhere Ohio, too.

Daily updates on the coronavirus death toll in England have been paused amid growing concern that the numbers could have been exaggerated.

It doesn't explain why we are far more obese than other countries that share the same gene pool. I know that we have a plethora of crappy food available, but we can do better.

I'm a better mask wearer than you.

We can all agree that this country has an obesity problem that needs to be addressed.

Insulting them isn’t part of the solution.

This here, folks, is groundbreaking analysis. CDC should hire you as a consultant.

More densely populated areas are more susceptible to the Global Pandemic Virus. - Thank you for sharing

Test was negative. It's just a run-of-the-mill head cold.
All models are wrong. Some of them are useful.
