Hilton Garden has 125 rooms, sorry 125 air conditioned rooms and a home plate shaped hot tub overlooking the field.

Rooms overlook the stadium as well.

I in no way get a 10% commission on any rooms they book.

Another plus is that it is close enough to Boston that they could just take buses to Fenway for games there and not decamp for a Boston hotel.

Hilton Garden Inn is a solid hotel. I've stayed at a lot of them in my time on the road. Definitely better than say a Hampton Inn or Holiday Inn.

Reds have been using Prasco Park. The Blue Jays could come to Mason.

Clearly, I was unaware of the hot tub situation.

Looks like it's going to be Baltimore. Between the two teams they will have one legit major league team there.

Blue Ash Rec runs that facility. There's a "Riverfront Stadium" mock fence (well there used to be )that slow pitch softball plays on as well. Crazy seeing a softball land about 425 ft over that wall.

    Riverfront Fence Specs
    Left field – 330 ft (100 m)
    Left-center field – 375 ft (114 m)
    Center field – 404 ft (123 m)
    Right-center field – 375 ft (114 m)
    Right field – 330 ft (100 m)

So the Orioles spent how many years whining about the Nationals going into the DC market and now they will be actually sharing their stadium with the Jays!

Wow I didn't realize PA nixed the Blue Jays. I understand their reason but the amount of people coming in and out is pretty negligible in the grand scheme of things. Your talking like 100 people or so for a game and all of these people are getting tested and are negative every 2 days. I would consider that very low risk.

Makes some sense from a travel standpoint.

It’s extremely low risk. This is just posturing/politics. Same reason Canada denied them. Logically and scientifically it seems to have very little to do with public health.

Question for anyone that lives in the Blue Ash area... Can anyone walk on that field at certain times of the day to take pictures of their kids in front of that scoreboard?

I'm in Pittsburgh and it's the hot spot in the state for coronavirus right now; it's surging pretty badly here. The Director of Health said they just can't in good conscience add travelers in and out of the region right now. Is it really just a hundred people? You're talking two extra teams in and out every week, making contact with ballpark staff, hotel staff, airport staff, going out, whatever. And it's in consideration of the players too since so many residents are infected here, and they're certainly *not* getting tested every two days (asymptomatic tests are nixed again here with cases surging).

It's also a leap to say the teams are "getting tested and are negative every 2 days". A number are and will be positive. Things might have been different two months ago and I sure hope they will be in a month but it was the right call at this time. It's too bad, I was looking forward to redirecting my kid's local fandom.

There is no such thing as a pitching prospect.
