According to worldometer, AZ has seen the two days with the highest number of deaths in the past 4 days (including the aforementioned 134 deaths on 7/21), with the 7-day moving average reaching its highest point both days.

And if youre a mask Nazi who cant objectively look at the mumbers and see that less than 1% of the US pop has contracted Covid, and maybe 3% of that less than 1% have actually died from it (the veracity of the figure which is extremely dubious considering all the number gaming going on), if you didnt say a damn thing during SARS, Bird Flu, or H1N1, then yoh can kindly go to hell with your insanity and hypocrisy.

You want to wear one to make yourself feel better its certainly your prerogative, unfortunately, the entire country hasnt lost its mind, only some of you. Sure, its a preventive measure. No ones disputing that. But the risk associated v what the data shows us clearly demonstrates some of you have lost your GD grip on reality. No one reacted like this for diseases weve had run through the US in the last 10-15 yrs that were MUCH worse. So spare me the inevitable and predictable rambling responses. We're ruining our economy by cutting off our face to spite our nose at this point. A LOT more people are being adversely affected by the halting of the economy than have been or will EVER be affected by the covid bug.

    Stop the damned insanity. Enough.

Those diseases largely didn't have asymptomatic spread. Around 40% of people that get COVID get mild or no symptoms and keep walking around and coming into contact with people.

Way to throw up a chart from March too haha.

The economic damage is a consequence of not containing the virus. It's not a choice of one or the other.

Health officials: "Wear a mask to decrease infection rates."

Many people: "I'll wear a mask"

A few people several months later: "See, decreased infection rates. Wearing a mask was pointless."

Regardless of how you feel about a post, we don't need replies like this here. You can constructively disagree with someone regardless of how strongly you disagree with them.

Those are confirmed cases. 4 months into this and people still don’t get it. Amazing.

Your president told you to wear a mask yesterday. Even he finally admits it. Why can’t people just wear a mask when they go pick up their dinner or to go the store? Why is this so difficult for Americans?

    "Data through 17 March 2020."

On 17 March, the US death count was 0.015% what it is now.

That guy is telling people they have “lost their GD mind” for saying people need to wear a mask.

Look man, this is a hot topic, trying to moderate this thread is a waste of time, and frankly it shouldn’t be moderated. This is the most important and difficult event in most of our lifetimes. In my opinion the moderator teams need to post “enter the COVID thread at your own risk” and just let it go. Just my opinion.

If that's the stance you and others want, this topic isn't going to remain open for discussion in this forum (for good). I don't care how hot a topic something is or how controversial the take - we're not going to tolerate replies like the one I responded to - particularly when it's outside the opt-in area where you should have an idea what you may be getting yourself into. There's enough other places on the internet to engage in that level of "discussion" if that's what you prefer.
