Cool, I'll give them a call. I work a lot down that way anyway.

Testing is available at many CVS locations. Turnaround time is 2 to 3 days.

The problem with that is I've had several people tell me they didn't get results for 5-8 days. I have no symptoms, so I didn't know if I would be put back to the back of the line in the lab. Going to see my dad is pointless if I don't get results for 8 days.

Unless you have orders from a local doctor or are symptomatic, 1-2 days probably isn’t happening in Cincinnati. I had to have a procedure done in Lexington and needed a negative COVID test 72-48 hours ahead of time. Even though I had “rush” orders from a UK doc, no one in Cincinnati would turn one around that quickly for me, so I had to drive to Lexington twice in 3 days.
When all is said and done more is said than done.

Can't you just say you have symptoms, then?

Yeah, I guess I could lie, but I just thought we were at the point where I didn't have to. I suppose I could tell them I can't taste, can't smell, had a high fever and am coughing all over the place, and I work in a nursing home.

Honestly, I don't even want a free test. I'll pay, I don't care. Maybe I'll just bribe the lab tech. That's probably how people like Tom Hanks get tested so easily.

I’ve gone to RiteAid twice in Cleveland once last week and once at the end of July, both times got results in less than 48 hours. First time I had to say I had one of 10 or 15 symptoms on the online survey, but they don’t care. Last week I didn’t have to fill out the survey, just had to pick a time. It’s a drive thru pharmacy test you do yourself in the car and it takes about 2 minutes. Results come via email.

Truly, this is a great country.

Gov. Tom Wolf’s pandemic restrictions that required people to stay at home, placed size limits on gatherings and ordered “non-life-sustaining” businesses to shut down are unconstitutional, a federal judge ruled Monday.

The Wolf administration said it will appeal.

U.S. District Judge William Stickman IV, who was appointed by President Donald Trump, sided with plaintiffs that included hair salons, drive-in movie theaters, a farmer’s market vendor, a horse trainer and several Republican officeholders in their lawsuit against Wolf, a Democrat, and his health secretary.

The Wolf administration’s pandemic policies have been overreaching and arbitrary and violated citizens’ constitutional rights, Stickman wrote in his ruling.

FTR, I'm a Bernie-supporting Socialist. But I'm flumoxed as to why so many people on the left have surrendered freedom so easily for a flu-like virus. Civil liberties is a big part of the political left. But it seems most of my allies on this issue are on the librertarian right.

Re: Covid-19, Part VII - Staying On Topic...

Flu has been killing more people than Covid for months in Britain.

    https://off-guardian.org/2020/09/09/...en-for-months/

A report from the UK’s Office of National Statistics (ONS) shows that since at least June 19th, more people in the UK have been dying of influenza than Covid19.

This, of course, is despite the fact that “Covid19 deaths” are incredibly vaguely defined.

Under UK law a person only has to test positive for the Sars-Cov-2 virus at any point in the 28 days prior to their death for “Covid19” to be on their death certificate, a policy which totally ignores the fact the majority of Sars-Cov-2 infections are completely symptomless (and has already resulted in huge over-counts).

Meanwhile boring old influenza is lumbered with having to actually contribute to the death before being added to the death certificate. And nevertheless, for three straight months, the UK has recorded more flu deaths than Covid deaths.

    Were?

482 is my air quality today... pretty bad, haven't been outside since Friday

Meanwhile 11,015 people have died of Covid in the past two weeks

That's a hell of an abstraction
