Do the Dodgers get to bat last in 4 of the 7 due to better win %, or was it the NL's turn to host?

This year it's the higher-seeded team is the "home team" plan.

Dodgers and Rays both use the heavy analytics, home run based, hitting approach. Dodgers much more proficient, scored 60 more runs than Rays in the regular season.

One big difference is that Dodgers manage that style with only a 20% K rate. Rays much higher, 27%.

Dodgers with only a .276 BABIP, yet led MLB in runs scored. Really an impressive offensive job by L.A. this year.

Rays bullpen needs to hold them to 6 runs, and the offense has to get at least 2 off Kershaw before he's gone and the rest off the Dodgers bullpen.

The Dodgers have two hitters who've won MVPs (Mookie and Cody), two guys with future MVP potential (Seager and Smith) and seven all-stars. They're the Cadillac version of analytic baseball.

The direction of that hit by Brosseau, for an RBI and to keep the line moving, tells you a lot about why he's hitting .500 on ground balls.

I’m guessing that’s the fastest exit velocity off the bat all year that was caught by the pitcher

Yes. They are beating them on patience, skill, and strike judgement! An example of a team that robo called balls and strikes would greatly benefit.

Any idea on the MLB average number of pitches per game that are seen?

Gonzalez' pitching wasn't doing much good keeping the Rays at bay giving up 2 hits and a line shot up the middle that looked destined to bring in another run for 3 RBI given up in 3 batters faced. But then his own personal defense kicked in to save his performance by starting a line drive DP to end the inning. Could have given up way more than it turned out to be.
