    Re: 2020 MLB Season Thread

That was one of the best World Series games I can ever remember watching. Wow.

Instead of The Dodgers taking a commanding 3-1 lead, we have ourselves a series all tie up at 2 a piece. Awesome.

I just can’t really root for this Dodger team. There’s nobody I really don’t like (and I actually like quite a few of their players) but man, they’re just so stacked and have so many resources, namely having the money to have a $300M payroll in recent memory.

I know they got screwed in 2017 so I won’t necessarily be upset if they end up winning it, but it’s hard to pull for them over a small market team like The Rays.

Was that a Billy Bates moment there for Brett Phillips?

I didn’t see any toilet paper flying in from the stands so no.

A lot of people say this.

    I don’t get it.

Different, yes. But it matters to me.

Starting in the bottom of the 4th, runs were scored in 9 of 11 half-innings. Cuh-razy.

I know slobberknockers and knock-out punches and chicks dig the long ball and all that, but this was just non-stop surgical jabbing to score points. And I loved it.

The utterly insane, you-couldn't-write-that-if-you-tried final ball in play was the very appropriate icing on that particular cake.

Dude hit under .200 for the last three years and just walked off a World Series game.

    Baseball is a crazy game.

it is different, but it definitely matters....and at some point, the asterisk will basically fall off in discussions.

Rays just have to hope Kershaw returns to normal playoff Kershaw in Game 5....

Does Arozarena score if he does not fall and Smith catches the ball cleanly?

Not even in terms of player/manager evaluations? Nothing?

My first thought seeing that ending tonight was "If the Bengals played baseball we'd lose that way". What an unlikely sloppy way to lose a game. Embarrassing. Could shift momentum in this series to TB which is fine by me.
