Shogo sitting against a lefty. Davidson at DH and Ervin leading off instead of Senzel. Who's ready to fire Bell?

    At least Jankowski isn't playing.
All my posts are my opinion - just like yours are. If I forget to state it and you're too dense to see the obvious, look here!

the pitching matchup is a former reds' draft pick vs. sonny gray.

I'd have flipped Senzel and Ervin in the order, but not a huge deal. Need big night from 3-7 hitters

At least the two Nicks are separated in the lineup though with no Nick in the Tigers pen they would not be particularly vulnerable being back to back. Tiger pitchers include a Beau, Buck, and a Dario.

Brandon Dixon did not make the Tigers current 30 man roster.

Welcome back baseball! Everyone needs this. I watched a little of the Nats game last night and it just felt good to have some normalcy. Maybe by '21 the fans can actually attend, have a hot dog and beverage of their choice and just have a good time out. We will never take all of this for granted again.

Check his splits vs lefties and he’s the obvious choice. Who would you have in his place? Close to .900 OPS last year.

Likely the best lineup vs. The lefty.

Janko bats LH, why would he be even considered.

The Reds have spectacular depth for matchups, the need to exploit that.

Davidson has crushed Boyd in the past. My guess is when Boyd is out Shogo comes in.

for sure. we are going to see a lot more pinch-hitting and substitutes in general. good time to have the deepest reds' team i can remember!

The Reds are well set up for matchups. My only concern is that matchups work best over a long season, giving the numbers a chance to average out over hot and cold streaks. A season this short, they may not work out as well as they would over a long season.

That said, the best move is still to stick with the matchups and just hope they work out.

Start of 2020 Spring Training: Where are Winker, Senzel, Shogo, Castellanos, and Aquino going to play??

Delayed start of 2020 season: Winker, Shogo, and Aquino don't crack the opening day lineup.
