Thought this deserved it's own thread. Marlins who had 4 players out yesterday, now have 7 more players (and 2 coaches) today. Today's game has been cancelled.
They had been on road in Philadelphia, scheduled to play today in Miami. They have not left Philly yet.

All reports say they have been practicing Covid social distancing protocols. Either that is not true, or the protocols are not strict enough.
Either way, this season could be over very fast.
This is not a good sign for the seasons longevity
The 4 players yesterday were asymptomatic. No word on today's. I have not seen any word on which players.

I know Alfaro their catcher was one. He was put in IL and announced.
Other names I'm seeing are Garrett Cooper, Harold Ramirez, Jose Urina. Those were apparently the 4 from yesterday.

This is why the 60 man squad should be mostly guys on the 40 and AAAA guys like Colon. If they add guys to the 40 to replace guys on Covid IL, you have to cut guys from 40 when IL guys are cleared. You want guys who are replaceable. Guys you can cut without worry.

I hope players take more precautions now going forward. Not sure why guys couldn't wear masks at all times and sit in the stands rather than in the dugout when they are not on the field.
