No #Reds lineup yet, David Bell said. He said he wished he had more info to give, but there are moving parts right now.

Wasn’t there some info a few weeks back about them being able to put players with COVID-19 in a vague/non-disclosed IR category? Could they give a misleading category like ‘back strain’? I’m curious whether it’s worth the squeeze to speculate when seemingly healthy players end up on the 10 day IR during an outbreak.

There's no minimum length of stay on the COVID list, in theory you could bring somebody off it after one day, so if the team announces 10 day IL it's an actual injury, not COVID related.

I think you need 2 negative tests at least 24 hours apart so it would seem that would dictate the shortest time being at least 2 days (unless there was a negative test which was done after the positive test was done but before results came in for the positive.)

I believe you can go on the COVID list without a positive test. If someone is showing symptoms and you want to remove them from the team you can place them on the list while they're being tested.

Hopefully we can win today and make him feel better tomorrow.
Mahle is the projected starter, kind of crazy to say this, but this might be the biggest start of his career to date.
[Phil ] Castellini celebrated the team's farm system and noted the team had promising prospects who would one day be great Reds -- and then joke then they'd be ex-Reds, saying "of course we're going to lose them". #SellTheTeamBob

I don’t think we need to panic every time someone is not feeling 100%. Right now they are just being cautious. It is far better for a player to have a head cold or sore throat and be tested, than to dismiss it as non-virus. Feeling bad does not necessarily equal being infected with the virus.

I have extreme sinus issues and every time I reach for a tissue, everyone looks at me like I have the plague. I just tell them that if I truly have the COVID virus, then I have had the virus for the last twenty years. Believe me, the old sinuses are bad right now because it has been so dry and the recent rains and wind have kicked up the dust.

Sure would be nice to have an update on Senzel and Moose but I guess that’s too much to ask. Hope both guys are feeling better and come back soon.
