For a catcher he doesn't have be Mike Trout to be extremely valuable. I'm pumped about him for sure. He and Garcia could be the backbone of our team in 3-4 years from now.
Nice of Bell not to use him at all tonight and instead use absolute dud Christian Colon
He will be a platoon guy at best if Bell sticks around.
Seems to have a nice short swing. Looks as strong as a June day is long. Really excited about him and Garcia as potential leaders in a few years.

The guys generally platooning are guys who are terrible hitting against the opposite pitching.
Winker couldn’t hit Brett Cecil.
Platooning catching makes great sense.
Votto, Moose, Galvis, Saurez, Senzel, Cast not platooning.
His platooning is vastly overrated.
And early on with pitchers going less innings, it makes great sense.
