Brooks Raley cut for Jose de Leon
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

I don’t know these new rules. What does this mean for Raley?

He’s DFA’d so I guess it’s like normal and he has to clear waivers to be outrighted.

Aquino is still waiting and is better than both.Lorenzen should have been dropped not Antone. He has allowed runs in every appearance.

What good does that do when he can’t hit?

Raley DFA'd and DeLeon called up

    Deck chairs, Titanic, etc.

Wow so now we're not even going to give guys chances?

I think De Leon could be a solid bullpen piece. Seems like they held him back for emergency starter purposes, but now that Miley should be back soon and Antone looked fully capable, they're giving Jose a chance in the pen.

May be deck chairs, but I’m glad to see Reds doing something to try and help the pen.

Reds’ whole strategy was a large quantity of good arms. If one isn’t working, try another.

That's not a "AAA talent at best" my man. That's a quality big league utilityman.
VM hasn’t hit much since July 2019. And he had a lot of chances in August - September last year. You know the saying - what have you done for me lately?

Logistics question - how will Antone and Van Meter get back to Cincinnati - they would've went to Cleveland with the team Tuesday night - do the Reds shuttle them back via plane? Rent a car for them? Uber/Lyft? Just curious how it works in this circumstance

Eh, being able to play multiple positions doesn't mean you're any good. The eye test says he's AAA talent for me (I'm just a fan) and his career .1 WAR. .223 average, and 0-14 start to 2020 confirms he's not a quality big league utility player. Hey though, that's why baseball is fun since we all have opinions about players.

Check your boy’s stats tonight. It didn’t take Nostradamus.

I'm guessing DeLeon goes down tomorrow or just released.
