We need a win, and this is the lineup we’re going with. OK.

Not having checked, I have to assume a tough leftie is on the mound for Milwaukee. Is Aquino still with the MLB club or did he get to go to Prasco?

Edit: Brewers starter is LHP Eric Lauer

Edit 2: each of the last 2 seasons, LHB's had a higher BA against Lauer than RHBs. Last year the dif was .331 vs .247! I have no idea how much his home park being San Diego effected that.

The #Reds today added to the 60-man player pool and assigned to the alternate site LHP Brandon Finnegan, IF Rece Hinds and OF TJ Friedl. The 60-man player pool now includes 57 players.

I just can’t stop looking at that lineup. This is supposed to be a team that’s expected to compete, and career minor leaguer Matt Davidson is batting cleanup. Not even the Marlins or Pirates would do that.

This is the kind of lineup only a man with absolutely no pressure whatsoever can dream up.

With MM out and nobody hitting I don’t understand how you can take Votto out of the lineup. I haven’t heard anything about him being hurt.

I feel like the Reds are playing an elaborate prank on us, trying to get our hopes up only to dash them, but, somewhere along the way, the starting pitchers got in too deep on the con and are now going rogue and playing great against orders. Subsequently, Bell and all the offensive players now have to work harder to keep the heist of our trust and attention going.

I think some of these guys need mental breaks, too. Travel these days is stressful. The offense has been pressing. I don't know how you complain about this lineup after watching the last 4 games. But yeah, get Aquino back on the team. It's borderline criminal.

    Any word on Moustakas?

I can understand the all righty lineup against a lefty. DH is lefty Winker, however.

DH could have been Votto, or Galvis (not as good against LHP) but I guess those two are being rested. Or Shogo, don’t know how he hits lefties. Or LHH Jankoski or Barnhart, unlikely candidates.

Which leaves Winker as DH against lefty, ok, give it a try for one game.
