Need a big game from Bauer and Nick. And Bauer has to go deep into the game and the relievers need to watch and take notes. Where's Votto?

David Bell says Mike Moustakas is out for now. Hopes he will be back in the lineup after the off day on Tuesday. #Reds

This is not Votto's fault, of course, it's on Bell.
After tonight, the Reds will have played 14 games. Votto has only been in 11 of them.
Unless Votto has some kind of injury, he does not need the rest. Injury is the only excuse not to play him.
[Phil ] Castellini celebrated the team's farm system and noted the team had promising prospects who would one day be great Reds -- and then joke then they'd be ex-Reds, saying "of course we're going to lose them". #SellTheTeamBob

David Bell said both Votto and Galvis are healthy but given travel and a lefty to start for Milwaukee, the decision was to go with this lineup.

So Winker can bat against lefties but Votto can’t?

I don't know why the Brewers took this long to release their lineup but it has been added to the original post

Probably not as well as he hits righties.

    "...and a lefty..."

And Bell was soooo close to a somewhat acceptable answer on Votto until he threw those three words into it.

    Reds
    SP Trevor Bauer (R)
    1. Nick Senzel (R) CF
    2. Nick Castellanos (R) RF
    3. Eugenio Suarez (R) 3B
    4. Matt Davidson (R) 1B
    5. Curt Casali (R) C
    6. Christian Colon (R) 2B
    7. Jesse Winker (L) DH
    8. Phillip Ervin (R) LF
    9. Kyle Farmer (R) SS

What kind of doo doo line up is this? If you are going to play the JV why not play Aquino? Bell infuriates me more with each passing day.

    Re: Reds @ Brewers 8-7-20

Shaking things up I guess. Shogo hasn't hit at all, so he's not really a big loss with a lefty pitching. Casali always plays against a LH. Farmer is a better choice against a LHP than Galvis and may just be a better defender. Moose is hurt, so Colon plays. Winker had two hits with a double last night, so leave him in and see if he gets on a roll. Not a big Davidson fan, but I guess that's the shaking things up part of it.

Could be worse. Jankowski could be playing CF (or Lorenzen).
All my posts are my opinion - just like yours are. If I forget to state it and you're too dense to see the obvious, look here!

I predict that the Reds will score at least one (1) run.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

From #Reds: The Reds have re-acquired from the Athletics OF Mark Payton for cash. On July 21, the 2019 Rule 5 draftee cleared waivers and was returned to the A’s.
