I put a longshot bet on the Rangers before the season began with sports betting being legal here in Illinois and my feeling that they were being very overlooked, so I'm not complaining at all about how the Dietrich thing is working out.

....and Dietrich hits a 3 run HR last night. Still helping us a bit with the WC even on another team...they beat the Rockies.

Agreed. I'll never understand why they let him go. Old time ball player who works hard, plays amazing defense and wants to be part of a team. We would be a lot better off with him at SS.

Not the case. He signed for very little. His total cost for 2020 is a 2.5 million salary, $500K for 2021 option if not exercised, and 1 million buyout for Galvis. Total = 4 million.
Galvis costs us 5 million. So we would have saved 1 million by keeping Iglesias over Galvis.
