I can't believe Puig hasn't been signed. He tested positive 35 days ago and was asymptomatic.

I'd have to think he's been eligible to return for some time.
(Referring to Jack Hannahan signing with a Korean team)
Since there are no teams on the moon, I guess South Korea's far enough from Cincinnati to satisfy me.

Marlins designated Ryan Lavarnway for assignment.

Let's all get nostalgic about Ryan Lavarnway and that one game from last year.

Didn't they blow a huge lead and lose that game
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

I choose to remember the Lavarnway era in my own way.

Further proof that 28 man rosters are too big. I hate watching so many minor league players in the big leagues.
All my posts are my opinion - just like yours are. If I forget to state it and you're too dense to see the obvious, look here!

Homer Bailey out for the year with arm problems. Raise your hand if you're shocked.

Jose Peraza update: According to Fangraphs (fWAR), Peraza is the worst qualified position player in the majors. I always kinda liked Peraza. And now you know why I'm not a baseball scout.

He started out the year lightning hot too. Alhtough BR only has him at -0.4bWAR. Votto is at -0.8bWAR

    Shed Long struggling .167/.238./.250 -0.6bWAR

    Tanner Rainey killing it 1.35ERA 0.67WHIP 1.0bWAR

    Dylan Floro likewise 0.67ERA 0.857 WHIP 0.5bWAR

    Matt Wisler too 1.29 ERA 1.0WHIP 0.5bWAR

I liked Jose Iglesias last year, but I was also fine with the Reds decision to move on.
That said, I simply can't figure out what's going on with him this year. In 16 games and 58 PAs, he's slashing 400/414/564.
Despite that, he is playing second fiddle to 27 year old Pat Valaika, brother of former Reds farmhand Chris Valaika, who has appeared in 28 of the Orioles 30 games with a 717 OPS.
What the hell are the Orioles doing?
