That said, I simply can't figure out what's going on with him this year. In 16 games and 58 PAs, he's slashing 400/414/564.
Despite that, he is playing second fiddle to 27 year old Pat Valaika, brother of former Reds farmhand Chris Valaika, who has appeared in 28 of the Orioles 30 games with a 717 OPS.
What the hell are the Orioles doing?
Iglesias was on the IL, he just returned.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

He's been hurt. The O's desperately want him in the line-up. He just came back from the IL.
Well, that's what those words mean. He was here. If they don't keep him, he will have been lost/subtracted. I headed out the door today with two shoes on my feet. If I don't return with them, I have lost them. If I do return with them, I haven't added them. ---M2

Aroldis Chapman has been suspended three games, according to a source. Kevin Cash and Aaron Boone have been suspended for one game apiece.

Facebook reminded me that my nephew took a picture with Mat Latos 7 years ago when I took him to a game.

Whatever happened to that guy? I know he was pitching for some independent league team a couple of years ago, but I haven't heard anything since.

    I don't know; he's your nephew.

So the team with the second best record in baseball can find a place in the bullpen for him but the Reds couldn’t use him?

I remember one time going out to the mound to talk with Bob Gibson. He told me to get back behind the batter, that the only thing I knew about pitching was that it was hard to hit.
