With 8 teams making the playoffs out of 15, a below .500 may well make the playoffs.
I am basing it on winning percentage, just like MLB.
How can you compare the Cards 3 losses in 5 games as somehow better.
Especially since the Reds are in second place.

Agree on the offense. I don't know what expectation you had for this bullpen, but seeing how they were going to be feeling around for the right combination as they sort through comebackers and never was guys, I expected a lot of late inning losses early in the year. Lorenzen's struggles are the only thing I would label a surprise and even that isn't a huge shock. He was great in 2019 but has been up and down over the years.
