Looking forward to some guys getting going this series. Looking at Saurez and Senzel mostly, the Reds need these guys to be way better if they are going to be any good this year or in the future.

And that is based on them raking lefties, so they are even worse against righties.

#Reds Josh VanMeter said Matt Bowman has nicknames for everyone at Prasco Park and uses them in the at-bat intros. His nickname? "Sweatpants." He thinks it's because his baseball pants are too loose

I thought he was meat sauce

    that's his nickname for himself

We need a list of these nicknames. It’s what the people want.

Ditto. I also want to see the nickname jerseys with them.

David Bell said Mike Moustakas will do some on-field drills during BP today. If things continue to progress well, he could return as early as Sunday, the first day he's eligible to be activated from the 10-day IL. #Reds

And their best hitter, some dude named Phillip Evans who was in the Cubs organization last year, is on the 60-day DL.

Gotta start winning games. Let's hope Bell learned a hard lesson about constant tinkering last night. Rest your studs, but don't take them out when the game is close.

Why did the #reds pinch run for Votto? Why did Bell have Barnhart bunt? What was up with Miley? Here are some answers from Bell

Any particular reason tonight's game is at 5:10?

T-Bone has to be nails tonight. Reds have to take at least 3 of 4. The pirates are terrible, and the schedule only gets harder from here. Completely whiffed on the opportunity to beat up on the Tigers & Royals.

First off, I always look forward to you posting the lineups Ron. One of the best parts of the day. Thank you

Secondly, I read the article. My takeaway is the Reds need a manager who manages for a win rather than a tie.

    Re: Reds vs Pirates 8-13-20

The pinch run for Votto seemed so unnecessary at the time. The potential of Jankowski stealing a base or outrunning the throw seemed too remote to me to take Votto out of an almost certain AB. I only caught the last three innings so i assumed Votto was carrying an injury that would have stopped him running.

Time to take this series. Anything short of 3-1 will be disappointing.
