That would be my guess as well, he got chewed out about protocol and was frustrated about it.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

Well this explains two things to me.... one - as we watched the post game celebration it as obvious players were distracted by something that was going on in over by the dugout.

Two - to me that explains the bizarre post game interview by Winker.
Bud Selig: "I'm the worst commissioner ever"
    Rob Manfred: "Hold my beer"

Could be. I was surprised there was no review. Very close play. Gets my vote.

    Because you won't - protocols

But that doesn't mean other people in the org aren't aware of what is going on. And stuff spreads

But we will find out. They may not be able to say it without permission, but when guys go on the "other" injured list, we know why.

A Reds player has tested positive for COVID-19, sources tell The Athletic. Team defeated Pirates on Friday night, scheduled to host them again at 6:10 p.m. ET on Saturday. Status of that game not yet known.

Suprised they would wait till post-game to yank him...assuming the timing on things wasn't that perfect.

Granted he's not going to affect anyone all alone in CF, but protocol should be an immediate removal.

Most likely - I don't know for a fact - but they probably just got the results at that moment
