Galvis with a nice play to offset the prior one.

I don’t disagree....but I do disagree with plan off this pitcher. I say work him and make him labor.

Let’s find a way to win.

Galvis with a decent catch to strand Goldschmidt. 0-0 after 1

I wonder how many MLB teams, when they play the shift, have their most athletic defensive infielder play in the pull hole no matter which side of the plate the hitter is swinging from.

I'll always support working the count, but doing it on the batter's own terms.

If they see a pitch they think they can drive, go for it, regardless of count.

You don't want to be in a situation where you're down 0-2 or 1-2 and drive his sinker into the ground for a DP.

I wouldn’t be surprised if JVM has a break out game tonight, just because.

Feels cruel to keep running him out there.

Yeah it would be an act of mercy to send him back to Prasco
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

No but the first pitch of a game against a pitcher you haven’t seen in a year....seeing a pitch seems beneficial. I do like going after that first pitch of an at bat once maybe twice a game.

Votto got it started off poorly and surprised he didn’t bust out an f bomb

I don’t think JVM is this bad, there’s something in the water for a lot of players like Suarez too, but he definitely is this bad this season. He’s gotta go.

It seems Disco figured out the whole “tipping” pitches thing.
