I think they may work out some type of deal. You know he has to be embarrassed and isn’t going to want to run out there the next 4 years looking like this.

I think he really believes he can get back to where he was if he keeps working at it and choking up more & more on the bat.

Hope I’m wrong, because he’s not helping this team do anything except lose.

Seem to be getting Lorenzen right. Or at least a lot less shaky.
Rounding third and heading for home...

this year looks much worse to me at the plate compared to even last year.....he just looks overmatched at the plate

He's toughed his way thru a couple innings without his best stuff. I kind of expect Jones next.

I had super high hopes for Shogo being a staple at the lead off spot for a few years.
But it looks like he was all hype and Cincinnati just wasted a bunch of money.
Here we are with Votto still leading off and popping up weakly to left field every other at bat just like the past 2 years.
    It’s getting old.

Votto is not going to give back any of his contract, folks. Even if he’s batting .100 over 4 months. Not happening. If it gets to that point the reds need to just use him a pinch hitter. It is what it is. It’s not his fault the reds decided to not for it from his age 32-36 seasons.
What would you say.....ya do here?

“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

The first step would be to move Votto down to sixth in the lineup. I always expected that would happen eventually. Down to seventh if necessary.

Joey will not accept this 60-game season as indicative of anything. He’ll be around next year.

Reds hitters really making the Cardinal pitchers work. 4 pitch inning for Cabrera.

Freaking Janky is going to be a big part of this huge comeback.

This is the stuff that drives fans crazy.

We’re down a run in the 7th and we put in a defensive specialist.

Reds now have 9 hits in the last 24 innings.

    That’s one hit every 2 2/3 inning.
