just being a realist. If he goes year to year and a large market club throws a 1yr 30+ million offer his way, i don't see the Reds going there. I hope they do, but i just don't see it.

Compared to historic Votto, this is true (one of the greatest career OBP all-time). Compared to the league, he was well above average.

He shouldn't be playing when a LHP is starting. Play Davidson at 1B and Winker at DH. Get Aquino up and stick him in LF. Votto is old and the mileage has accumulated. When a LHP is starting, it's the perfect opportunity to get him some rest without really hurting the team. Wanna lead him off against RHP, OK. Against LHP, sit him.
