Over under 2.5 GIDP for the Reds tonight.

The lineup should always be in the first post of the game thread when it's posted, not 37 minutes after the thread is started

The problem emerged in the modern era with copyright and control of these emblems and most clubs changed to a corporate emblem they could control easier which is a shame as there were some historic ones that were replaced by quite bland designs. Man United's still contains a ship in full sail as a nod to the Manchester Ship Canal, while the oldest badge of LUFC has a hanging sheep in reference to it's history as a centre of the wool trade and the coat of arms of it's first alderman. Incidentally many english teams started out as industry works teams and their nicknames and badges come from the factories whose employees created the teams (Sheffield United - the blades Rotherham United- the millers from steelworking), Luton Town - the hatters, Arsenal - the gunners, orginally workers at a major weapons manufacturer the Woolwich Arsenal. Stoke - the potters etc. Bit of useless information while we're waiting for the first pitch
So Mr Redlegs sitting on a bowl of Skyline chilli underneath a flying pig?

I agree but got sick of waiting. They lost last time I started a game thread and wanted to break the juju.

    Must be the shift.
All my posts are my opinion - just like yours are. If I forget to state it and you're too dense to see the obvious, look here!
