The Cards have a very tough grind ahead. All the makeup games, doubleheaders. I wouldn’t concede anything to them.
The Reds have been lousy, but if they can come back and win the series they won’t be in terrible shape.

Yeah I don’t think they have more talent, but they clearly get more out of the guys they do have then we do.

He’s been up for 9 games and has started 4. Absolutely ridiculous overmanaging by Bell.
They keep dicking around with him and they are going to ruin his development. Just put him at SS every day and forget about it for the rest of the season.

They always have better players because they have the best farm in baseball. They churn out talent constantly. Their absolute worst farm year is the Reds once in a decade best crop.

Your hope is admirable. I don’t know what it’s based in, but it’s admirable.
Such a disappointment this team has been this year. Well, could've said that the last several years TBH.
I strongly believe that teams have personalities, like people. I also believe that the Reds are a team the would succeed with consistency - 5 starting pitchers going one after another, a lineup that is the same (of course you could platoon as long as the platoon is predictable). Joey Votto is at his best when he is playing every day around 7:00 pm. And herein lies the rub, this season, even the short season, has been anything but predictable and consistent. Rain outs, Covid postponements, Senzel's mysterious covid, paternity leave -- that's a lot for a 2 month season - and that I believe is why the Reds are knocking on the door of 5 under with 25 games to go.
Technically, he doesn't 'do' anything about that...and if he does, well, that's another conversation.
For Disco it is not a surprise that he struggled after being off 10 days. Tome it was almost expected.
