And the Pirates for stupidly trying to run home on that grounder.

It would really help if MLB added the ability to DH up to five guys at a time, because that's about how many they have on the field in any given night.

    I think you mean Casali.

And yes, Nick owes the club and fans two of his patented doubles this game.

Especially with Aquino in the mix.
Problem is, the Reds have a number of candidates for DH.

Casali didn't seem to be in any hurry to tag out the runner caught off, then when he did, he didn't even look for the runner that should have been going into 2nd, but the hitter didn't know what happened and ran thru 1B even though Votto had left 1B long before and missed his chance to get to 2B, thus bailing out Casali's less than stellar play. Reds get out of it giving up no runs in the 2nd!

Pirates play worse defense than the Reds.

Not a good fact for them.

Suarez barely misses a roundtripper but gets Votto home.

    2-0 good guys.

The Reds got em on over and in, is that allowed??
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”
