First round will be at the higher seed. Currently we would go to Atlanta but it could still be San Diego, Chicago or even LA. The neutral sites start with the division series

And for this first series they can use Mahle out of the bullpen too as he will be fully rested
I guess that could be the big debate in the coming days. Castillo or Gray for game 2? And would it change depending on the outcome of game 1?

Does the neutral site bubble not start immediately?
(Referring to Jack Hannahan signing with a Korean team)
Since there are no teams on the moon, I guess South Korea's far enough from Cincinnati to satisfy me.

No but they do have the players quarantining already. Meaning even then players at home are not going to their houses everyone is staying in hotels since Wednesday. But yes the 4 neutral sites don’t start until the division series. The best of 3 wild cards will be at the better seeds park and no travel so the whole series will be at that better seeds park

I would consider scratching Castillo tomorrow to set up Bauer, Castillo, and Gray for the playoff.

It's already set up for that. I don't think you want a guy to have 10 days between starts. Maybe at the end of a 200 inning season. I bet he goes 80-90 pitches tomorrow before Antone comes in for a few innings.

Playoffs begin Wednesday. Likely with Bauer on the mound. Saturday to Thursday is regular rest for Castillo.

Padres lost one of their top starters Dinelson Lamer to bicep tightness last night. So they maybe going into a short series minus their top 2 starters.
