Feels a lot better now that the Reds have 3 playoff spots to end up in.
A few days back it looked like STL and Philly were locks but the Reds caught them both.
A reminder things can change in a hurry.
With the Cards wins we are tied at .500. We will have to finish with a better record as they will win any tiebreaker once we are both over .500 as we have played more games so they will have a better percentage. Was hoping PIT would win one. Oh, well.

Cardinals (24-24) sweep Pirates in their doubleheader, so they're tied with #Reds (26-26) for 2nd place in NL Central. Cardinals own the tiebreaker based on head-to-head record.
Pirates could have easily taken both of those today. Oh well. The Bucs giveth, and the Bucs taketh away.

So far as the rest of the way goes the Cards hold the edge if both teams go .500 or better...but if the Reds and Cards both wound up "tied" in the standings with losing records the Reds would have the better winning percentage. Many ways for this cookie to crumble.
