Don’t want to come 5th and play the Pads.

    6th is the sweet spot.

Rockies up 6-0 and not done in the 5th. They're having their way with Cueto tonight.

Cueto sure wasn't getting that low strike that the last three umpires for the Reds have called. Has to be so frustrating for the pitchers.

I agree on not wanting to play the Padres. But the Braves have the best offense in the majors, and Fried and Anderson for a three game series.

I am not sure there is a sweet spot for any team in the bottom half of the playoff standings.

Agree. Only goal from my perspective is avoid being 8th and playing LA.
Rounding third and heading for home...

    Agreed.

There's no hiding in the playoffs.

Statistically basically every NL team other than the Marlins has a better offense than us. On paper we should be right there with them, but that's not played out.

Only the Dads and Dodgers have our pitching. With one cavaet. They don't play half of their games in GABP, they play in monstrous pitching parks.

Give us that advantage? Pitching goes to the Reds.

All eyes on STL, PHI, MIL, SF from here. The Phils have to play Nats and Rays. The Giants have the Rockies and Padres. If the Reds can take care of business, I feel relatively good about PHI and/or SF struggling this final week.
Marlins are .5 games ahead of us.
Also god bless the Royals for beating the Cards tonight.

Since there are no teams on the moon, I guess South Korea's far enough from Cincinnati to satisfy me.

Nice to have all 5 teams the Reds are in playoff race with lose tonight.

It's a shame that the Twins have gained a couple of games on the White Sox.

Their division might still be in play for the Twins when the Reds come into town.

All well, I just want 3 more Reds wins. It'd be just fine if two more came against the Brewers.

    Re: 2020 Playoff Push

Setting up today, 9/22, Reds face lefty Anderson. Reds offense has been weaker against lefties. Can expect RH bats added to lineup. Obviously Gray coming back from injury, if he needs early help Tejay Antone rested.

Phils with 3pm doubleheader in DC, Nola scheduled in one game.
Cards with Dakota Hudson out using lefty Austin Gombers against Royals, Brady Singer.
Miami-Atlanta with two high ERA starters.
Rockies at Giants late game, Freeland v Smyly, both with solid ERAs, SF’s Smyly working back from injury.
