The mediocrity of this offense is infuriating. They were built to pummel teams, not try and win games by scoring 2 runs.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

With Jim Day, LeCure and Brantley in the booth at the same time, the goofiness level goes up quite a bit, although Jim Day knows enough to dial himself back little. I miss Welsh’s relaxed, well-informed seriousness to balance it out.

It's been a sad sight. Seems like all they can do is wait for the next home run.

Surreal day for me. Checking in on the game, but a fire is burning houses down within a mile of our home. Neighbors across the I-90 have been evacuated. Snow in the forecast for tomorrow, after a record high of 96 yesterday. It's a strange world. Why am I watching baseball? I need the distraction, but the Reds are more frustrating than I'd like!

Pirate announcers saying Jones is giving up the 6th highest exit velocity in the league.

This is probably the crucial frame. Need Jones to get one inning.....

Jones does his job. 2-1 Reds, 2 frames to go.

Not the best hitters, but Jones with a clean inning, helped out the pen there.

Great job, Nate. Now let’s get some runs.

I would usually say let’s add a run.

But with this team, let’s get a homer.

Crazy. Hope you stay safe. Snow in September and 96 degrees in Montanna both seem unfathomable to me.

Who is going to pitch the 8th and 9th? Iggy and Bradley?
