    I dunno. One frontrunner is a RED, the other is a CUB...I wonder who they will choose?

    Why should we tip the delivery drivers- are they sleeping standing up in a field?

    Two can play the dad joke game my friend.

    I care if Bauer wins the Cy. Even in this weird, truncated season, that lasts forever. And taking a shot in this year's playoffs works for me.
    I am going to disagree.. contending teams give up talent for ace pitchers at the deadline all the time. Trevor Bauer could have been this year's Randy Johnson for some team.

    I have no problem with arguing the "go for it" as I said early, but let's not pretend that there was no market for Bauer if he was available. An ace is even more valuable in expanded playoffs. I know I Won't be able to convince you of that, so I will move on.
    [Phil ] Castellini celebrated the team's farm system and noted the team had promising prospects who would one day be great Reds -- and then joke then they'd be ex-Reds, saying "of course we're going to lose them". #SellTheTeamBob

    At the trade deadline Sonny was good, and with Sonny, Bauer and Castillo going in these short playoff series, the team has more than a 'joke" of a chance. So looking back just isn't going to ever be comparable.
    To clarify,I think it's a joke that they are allowing over half the teams into the playoffs. Was not calling the Reds a joke, even though they have been disappointing.

    If the Reds make it past a round of playoff. I'll admit that I'm wrong.
    I'm glad the Reds won 6 in a row. I admit, I didn't think they could do that, even against the Pirates.
    It was a pleasant surprise.
    That said, they are still on the bubble. They need to keep winning.

    Big difference between two months of starts and three weeks. And, again, we have never had less visibility into which prospects to target. Might as well throw a dart. Probably the worst season ever to get value at the trade deadline.

    I think it's safe to say no, he shouldn't have been dealt.

    Re: Trevor Bauer should have been dealt!!

    Not many Reds I've wanted to see re-signed over the years more than Bauer, but alas, I'm guessing he's priced himself outta Cincy.

    Maybe if he sticks to his year-to-year guns, the Reds can splurge and keep him around another season. I think it would be worth it for his clubhouse presence and affect on young pitchers alone. Definitely will be QO'd.

    Stats By STATS
    @StatsBySTATS

    Prior to 2020, no pitcher had made 10+ starts in a season and finished with a sub-2.00 ERA & 12.00+ K/9, but the
    @Indians
    ' Shane Bieber &
    @Reds
    ' Trevor Bauer are now both in line to do so.

    Only once have both Cy winners come from teams in the same state: 1974 (Hunter/Marshall).
