    Reds team batting average for the 11 games played in Sept is .185. Averaging 3 runs and 5.5 hits per game. Worst in MLB. Hard to fathom.

    Akiyama looking more comfortable hitting mlb pitching of late is one reason for optimism in 2021.

    Reds probably just tired from the long road trip.

    Starting tomorrow they can lose meaningless but frustrating games at home.
