By issuing NO WALKS Lorenzen is moving toward becoming a pitcher for this club. I like that.

Lots of chirping. Pirates are a bunch of buttheads. A Hurdle hangover.

This season, chirping is all they have left.

Pirates have some players in Reynolds, Newman, Hayes, Bell, and Moran.

Pirates aren't going anywhere with that pitching.

Is it just me or did Antone just come out of nowhere? I don’t remember him being a prospect and he has looked pretty good this year.

That is the problem. They couldn't hold Cole and company but they sure do draft pretty well.

    Pretty much.

He was thought of as an organizational AAAA type.

Then out of nowhere he started hitting high 90s and throwing high spin on his breaking stuff.

I recall a few guys that follow the minor leagues a little closer bringing up his name a few times late last season....but that was the first I recall him being discussed

He had surgery couple years ago and has worked his way back. Hard work is paying off.

    Thanks. That’s why I thought.

I’ve seen him talking to Bauer in the dugout. I wonder if that relationship (if there is one) has contributed.

Antone seems deceptive out there, has the hitters off balance.

I think Archer is out this season, but he was in the front of their rotation last season

Antone worked very hard on conditioning and that has proven to be part of his equation. Not sure if Driveline played a huge roll. He's got it going.

Since my first move worked out so well, I'm gonna go Antone for the 7th, Garrett for the 8th, and Bradley for the 9th. If Antone breezes through the 7th or the Reds score a few more, I'd give him the 8th and either Garrett or Bradley for the 9th.
