He may not be the leadoff hitter we deserve, but he is the leadoff hitter we need right now.

Our planet is a lonely speck in the great enveloping cosmic dark. In our obscurity, in all this vastness, there is no hint that help will come from elsewhere to save us from ourselves. -- Carl Sagan (Pale Blue Dot)
So, we know Shogo is a solid leadoff hitter vs. right-handed pitching, but does anyone know how he hit lefties in Japan? The Reds only gave him 23 PA against lefties this year, and they did not go well.
With Fried being a lefty, I wonder if the Reds should let him start Game 1 or if the larger Japanese sample size agrees with this microscopic 2020 sample vs. lefties that he should be benched.
Spray hitting left handed batters that work the count are like unicorns these days.

Thank you, sir. I would go with Shogo in LF, Senzel in CF, Castellanos in RF and Winker DHing. I know Senzel's offensive numbers on their face are worse than Aquino's, but the batted ball types are right and he is not striking out too much. Plus, Nick appears to be playing better defense.
Shogo LF, Castellanos RF, Votto 1B, Suarez 3B, Moustakas 2B, Winker DH, Galvis SS, Senzel CF, Barnhart C
