Yes it is a good question. Especially if Bauer and Castillo keep pitching like this. Could you possibly pull off an upset in a short series.

10 day so we have to hope he's good when that is over. Gonna need that guy. Be four days now he's been on IL.

I read an article where Sonny said he'd be back.
I know it's not entirely up to him but I'll try to find it and share it here

Galvis seems to have lost his power stroke, which is about all he's good for offensively.

Have to root Brewers in game 2 unless conceding second place to Cards.

Strange times but I just don’t see the Reds making a playoff run (as in winning series) with Jose Garcia starting...

Cincinnati Reds placed RHP Sonny Gray on the 10-day injured list retroactive to September 11, 2020. Right mid-back strain.

Produced the only Reds run tonight with singles by Garcia, Casali, and Shogo. But your point generally stands.

I think the optimal mindset is to try to get the NL 2nd spot, and if you come up short hope that you are able to fall into one of the WC slots. At this point, I personally do not care much about seeding or opponent.

Cards also play their next 5 against the Pirates so this may be the best chance to gain ground for the next several days

Ok today is Day 6. Knew it was at least one rotation turn.
