    From Dr. Jha Twitter:

    @CDCgov guidelines clear

If you've been exposed to COVID + person, you should quarantine for 14 days

    Even with negative test

Might be reasonable to shorten to 10 days

    President was with Ms. Hicks

CDC guidelines say he should quarantine

If Trump quarantines and is not heard from for 14 days, it could be the greatest boost possible for his re-election chances.

    99% survival rate. Ridiculous.

If True (I don't really care to argue the figure)...

330 million Americans x 99% would equate to 3.3M dead Americans from COVID. That's more dead than die from all other causes combined over the span of a year.

    Ridiculous indeed.

If Trump gets it, I think he's closer to 94-95% survival rate given his age. Nothing to screw with at his age.

He tweeted that he was beginning the quarantine process while awaiting fresh testing results on himself.

But, it can take days though, for an infection to take hold and be detectable in a nasal or throat swab, and it is unclear what Trump's quarantine would entail. Right before his tweet, the White House distributed a schedule for Friday that showed he planned to go forward with a fundraiser at his Washington, D.C., hotel and a political rally in Sanford, Florida.

Why the White House didn't take action sooner, meh? Trump traveled to New Jersey Thursday for a fundraiser despite concerns about Hicks' health.

The upcoming VP debate could be very important. I mean two 70+ year olds were just together.

Could be worse, he'll have 24/7 to tweet from isolation.

Re: COVID-19, heading into flu season

This is what happened to Boris Johnson. It is extremely serious, and should not be take lightly.

    https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-politics-52262012

Coronavirus: Boris Johnson says 'it could have gone either way'

Mr Johnson, 55, was taken to London's St Thomas' Hospital on Sunday - 10 days after testing positive for Covid-19.
He spent three nights in intensive care before returning to a ward on Thursday.
He said in a video on Twitter that he had witnessed the "personal courage" of hospital staff on the front line.
Mr Johnson said two nurses - Jenny from New Zealand and Luis from Portugal - stood by his bedside for 48 hours at the most critical time and named several other hospital workers who cared for him this past week that he wanted to thank.
He said NHS workers "kept putting themselves in harm's way, kept risking this deadly virus".
"There were times last week that were very dark indeed. My heart goes out to all those in similar situations, worried sick about their loved ones.

Actually, now that I think about it....Pence should probably be quarantined too, which would force a "zoom" debate - I'm sure he was around Trump the last two days.

    Does Biden need to quarantine?
