Barry Bonds, Pete Rose, Ty Cobb and countless others would like counter that argument you just made, Chris Welsh.

Yes, somebody suggested that there is a seventh, but it’s 6.

Wonder who will pitch in the 8th, somebody like Stephenson maybe. For whom will the Bell toll?

I was going to say Lenny Dykstra, Pete Rose, and Aroldis Chapman.

    But that'll work.

For the record, apparently a good portion of the bad history surrounding Ty Cobb was fabricated.

That’s fair, I do recall reading that a good bit of that book was sensationalized.

Didn’t he beat up a fan once, though? Or was that just another tall tale.

Probably chilling in his basement back in Punxsutawney.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

    Yep. Google says:

On July 10, 2020, Mesoraco joined the University of Pittsburgh coaching staff as a volunteer assistant, officially ending his playing career.

    His body just failed him.

Good call by Bell to send Antone back out, he already wasn't gonna be available tomorrow and he got 3 more outs from him on less than 15 more pitches.

Now one of Jones/Romano/Stephenson can probably take the 9th.
