Lorenzen has to give the club a chance tomorrow by not giving up blasts with men on. Get in 4-5 innings and keep it a game and give the club a chance at a win. 2 of 3 would outstanding.

    Well that sucks

    Reds lose

This one hurts, many missed opportunities and no run support for your ace who pitched his ass off, followed by our former top pitching prospect putting the game absolutely out of reach in spectacularly embarrassing fashion.

But with that said, regroup, come back and start another winning streak tomorrow. I hope.

Man, Winker has turned into a liability. Crazy. Game over. Let's forget about this one and win tomorrow!

Well, I don't think many people expected us to sweep the White Sox.. Come back and go at'em tomorrow.

Here's what you're missing jup. Today was not a win or go home game. The offense was flat tonight with 4 hits thru 7 innings. Tomorrow Lorenzen goes and may need lots of bullpen help. You don't burn your best relievers in the 8th inning of a game you're losing when the offense is flat. Unless it's a win or go home contest, which it isn't.

Speaking of going for it I’d be real curious about the status of Lodolo and Greene, in that order...Greene being so raw.

Maybe you burn an option but it’s not uncommon for prospects to be promoted late in the year for reliever use.

Not saying I would. I have no information on how well they are doing.

    At least the Giants lost?

But yeah, win tomorrow and we're good.

Nothing to drink tonight even. (Yet)
I actually almost looked right past it, but I spent quite a few of my teen years wishing The Reds could somehow acquire Freddy Garcia during our pitching starved days.

The fact that he’s retired and in his 40’s makes me feel old.

Insult to injury. Prime time games are just always a bad thing for Cincinnati sports teams.

I wonder if we start watching and rooting for the Cards if they would lose more? Should we try that tomorrow?

As it turned out it would not have mattered with Stephenson as Reds never scored anyway, BUT, he's not a great option in close game. Maybe Jones?
