With only one regular player, Jesse Winker, currently batting over .250, it got me wondering if this may be the worst modern Reds team ever batting average wise. I know it will be the worst team average for a playoff team in Reds history, if we do end up making it. After today’s game, 20 Sep, the team’s overall batting average is .213 !! Hard to believe we are playing .500 baseball with that average! Thank goodness for our pitching staff. Let’s continue that playoff push.
