He is what we thought he is.
Rounding third and heading for home...

Well, there are three things that the average man thinks he can do better than anybody else. Build a fire, run a hotel and manage a baseball team.

He gets a share of the loss for the mindblowing baserunning abortion with RISP in a key part of the game. Given that it’s a pattern of behavior for him to overmanage at this point, I would fire him for it.

We're looking it all wrong. He just wore out their pen. All part of the plan. Weekend then kill.

Tomorrow tells us more about Bell as manager then today did.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

Theory was better off with AG v Freeman, lefty on lefty, than Ozuna and other RHHs.

That AG could strike out Freeman lefty on lefty.

It might be a good theory but not against Freeman who’s MVP caliber these days.

Reds too... 51 plate appearances and no runs, that's pathetic. Bell tries to replicate a non HR offense, he should hold off. One thing for me is I trust the Reds LH lineup more than the RH lineup, Shogo gets on tomorrow and scores a run is what I want to see.

Then move forward and forget today

Strikes me that Bell has little confidence in some of his lineup.

He chose over aggressive base running over letting the guys hit.

If you have to resort to double steals and high-risk extra base tries, you’ve given up on the hitters.

He’s kinda not wrong though, right?

    You're facing Freeman or Ozuna.

With Garrett coming in, that made the choice for them.

He’s not wrong, no. Just unfortunate situation when manager feels he needs high-risk baserunning to score.

The fact that he has zero hope of some guys getting a run in from 3rd with less than two outs should embarrass some of them.

I would say fire the hitting coach but they did that last offseason and clearly it didn’t matter.

It has to be the organizational philosophy at this point. And not only is it not working, it’s just plain old not fun to watch. It sucks.

Whoever is in charge of hitting at an organizational level needs relieved of their duties. Like right now.

If you get Freeman out you still have to face Ozuna most likely.
