    Gotta admit, I don't get it.

    The shirt does not say post season or playoffs etc.

    is it going to be one of those lame things that every team in baseball does during the postseason? for example: "respect chicago" "respect LA" etc?

    This. I think it happened in college basketball a couple of years ago. I believe it was the "respect x-team" motto though I can't sweat to it.

    The Reds certainly were getting lots of respect before the season. Many picked them to win the division with their excellent player acquisitions.

    I'd buy a Reds World Series champs tee if it was a white cotton shirt with stick figures on it.
