Yea, anybody who thinks they weren’t also cheating in 2018 and 2019 is kidding themselves. They just got better at it for those seasons. Just look at some of their stats this year.

Kinda blows Correa’s “Altuve wasn’t part of this!!1111” rant out of the water.

    Screw The Astros

If it was any other team it wouldn't bother me so much but the Cardinals being the 5 seed hacks me off.

Yea, they should have to play those games in my opinion.

Gives them a massive advantage getting to skip them.

I agree, but if you think about it, Reds beat them one more time and it's flipped. They had the opportunity. I'm specifically thinking of the road game when Iggy blew a two-run lead in the 9th. Playing them at the end of the season probably would've improved our chances at finishing second.

Fair point, but I was more thinking about their pitching situation than the seeding.

Getting to skip two games leading into the playoffs gives them an advantage over the team they’re playing in round 1. I don’t like it, and it’s the kind of thing that always seems to benefit The Cardinals.

    Oh well

I’m no Cardinal fan, but disagree. They had a brutal September schedule due to all the missed ballgames. By not playing two games in Detroit, they get the same amount of rest as every other team.

The two games they are missing are relatively unimportant, and they’d probably just beat the Tigers anyway. The Reds’ “bracket” as seventh seed is more desirable.

Cards now go to SD where the Padres are 21-11 this season. SD the second highest winning PCT in the NL.

For the record STL missing the last 2 games doesn’t bother me.

They have had a hellacious September and will be ushered out of the playoffs in due haste. I’m sure if given the choice they would have rather played the Reds 60 game schedule.

The Pads are missing their two best starters.

Actually the Cards didn’t finish ahead of us due to having the tiebreaker. They had a better winning percentage.

Braves in round 1 and probably Cubs round 2. I kinda like our chances.
Cards and Brewers both likely to exit in round 1.

Yes, but if the Reds had won one more head-to-head matchup, their winning percentage would've been higher.

Kyle Farmer, who has made nice defensive plays this year, may have saved his best for the last game of the season with a sliding stop to start an inning-ending double play.

David Bell said he thought Kyle Farmer's play in the 4th inning was the #Reds' defensive play of the year.

Kyle Farmer, asked about his double play, gave a ton of credit to Jose Garcia. "those are the quickest hands I've seen" on the turn[/QUOTE]

Are the people saying the cards and Brewers will make early playoff exits the same as who said In early September the Reds would not make the post season?
