I honestly think the Reds have ruined Aquino with all the tinkering with him. He needs to be aggressive, focus on his power, and not worry about strikeouts, walks or his OBP. He can be solid .750 OPS, low OBP high slugging guy for awhile, ala Joey Gallo

    That's it? Pass.

With his defense, that’s a 2-3 fWAR guy. That’s more valuable that what he likely will be in Korea, which is where he is headed with his new approach.

Almost every hitter on the Reds is selling out for the long ball.

Not sure they would object if AA did so.

Nope... League started figuring him out last Sept. By the end of the year, word spread throughout all of baseball. Was a disaster in Winter ball before the Reds even saw him again. Was a disaster in Spring training. That when the Reds started trying to fix him.

They say when they figure you out, you have to adjust back. He hasn't been able to do it. If he can survive the roster cuts, he has all year to work on it in AAA. But right now he looks to be one of the greatest asterisks in baseball history.

At least the Reds won't have to see Luis Arraez until the World Series

Yea, I don’t have an issue with pulling Gray but I’m surprised he brought in a righty.

That was a 10 game period last year. And in the next 10 games, he was fine, with a near .800 OPS.

It is faulty analysis to draw conclusions from 10 games. It is even worse to draw conclusions from as few games in spring training.
