Seems like Fried throws a lot of junk. Hard to square up. Tough matchup for this reds lineup. Farmer gonna go yard now.

Seems like whoever is behind the plate is calling a tight zone on Fried

Ugh. Don't like the 2012 choke discussion.

Farmer makes it close but grounds out to the shortstop.

I hope the second time through they start taking some pitches. Not to run up the count or anything like that but to just get some better ABs and maybe some walks, which is the real life blood of this offense.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

Don't agree with Votto that this team is better than the one in 2012. A few studs this year, but the 2012 team was more complete.

Yeah they’ve all been close but that second strike to AA was easily inside.

Yes Fried is through 2 inning on only 24 pitches. They talked like they hoped to get 5 innings out of him today if the Reds keep helping by swinging early he will go longer
