Sign Bauer, Simien, Springer, Realmuto and LeMahieu of course.

My friend, you have it backwards.

If they kept Kuhnel starting he would be Kuhnel. You don’t change the prospect by “keeping him starting.”
You move a guy to the bullpen because he doesn't have the pitch assortment to start or he doesn't have the stamina to maintain his stuff over multiple inning or because his pitch quality isn't good enough to get guys out multiple times in the same game. If that had to occur in the low minors, it doesn't bode well for success in the big leagues. If guys who can only hit fastballs on A Ball get to you after a couple of innings, the chances of big league success is pretty low. So a guy who has already been moved to the pen at a low level needs to be viewed with that perspective.
All my posts are my opinion - just like yours are. If I forget to state it and you're too dense to see the obvious, look here!

However you want to spin it now, this was your post in full. As if Kuhnel’s fate was because Reds didn’t “keep ‘em starting.”

Kuhnel’s fate is because of how he’s pitched and his potential. Not because Reds didn’t “keep ‘em starting.”

From Tampa Bay Rays and LA Dodgers. These are the minor league appearances of some relievers we are watching in the World Series. Seven prominent guys, all were primarily minor league relievers -

    Nick Anderson - 134 games, 4 starts.
    Pete Fairbanks - 86 games, 29 starts.
    Ryan Thompson - 162 games, 5 starts.
    Diego Castillo - 145 games, 1 start.
    John Curtiss - 173 games, 15 starts.
    Kensley Jansen - 58 games, 7 starts.
Pedro Baez- 97 games, 1 start.

It’s not that rare today. Baseball is flooded with effective relief arms today. Some are minor league starters, some minor league relievers, some a combination.

I think people are going to be shocked by how little many players get this offseason. I just read how the league is saying (books are closed so no one can verify) they lost billions this year. I've already heard multiple teams (and not just the usual suspects of Cleveland, Pitt etc..) talk about lowering payroll. I've heard reports on the Cubs, Rangers, Milwaukee and others talking about lowering payroll. My guess is 2/3s of the teams in MLB have a lower payroll next year than in 2020. If true, it will be a bloodbath in the market and with DFA's.

And maybe that's Krall's plan. To snatch up good ball players on the cheap.

That'd be awesome, but I imagine the Reds are in the same financial boat as everyone else.

Sources confirm Tony La Russa has talked to close associates about possible coaching and baseball support system positions if he is named the White Sox manager.

Same timeframe on whether to offer a QO to DeSclafani, Galvis and Thornburg. All 3 are also eligible.
