For a guy who pitched 35 innings in the past two years? Absolutely a lot.

Really hard for MLB to cry poor with these recents signings.

Could be the genius move of the offseason, or just a mostly wasted $11MM.

I’m guessing the Yanks liked what the saw in his showcase.

    Bob Nightengale @BNightengale

So just like that the #Yankees dropped $100 million on Corey Kluber and DJ LeMahieu on free agents today.

Further indication that COVID has accentuated the difference between large and small market teams. The Reds probably dropped out $1M guaranteed, a minor league contract, and an invite to spring training.

I am not doubting you, but I Don't understand.
I thought the Reds non tendered Farmer and he signed a split contract?

Keep seeing Zach Plesac mentioned in connection with the Blue Jays. Remember he and Clevinger broke protocol over the summer? Got Clevinger traded to the Padres? Anyway, curious to see he might be on the market. Wonder what Cleveland wants for him.

Martin Perez is not good at pitching.

Re: 2020-2021 Off-Season News, Notes and Discussion

Cincinnati Reds general manager Nick Krall ended speculation of a Twitter rumor that the club was on the verge of trading pitcher Luis Castillo to the New York Yankees on Sunday night.

"Regarding the Luis Castillo rumors to the Yankees, they are completely false," Krall said. "We intend to have him as a member of our rotation for 2021."

Responding to a tweet about the false rumor, Castillo's agent, Rafa Nieves, wrote: "Not true at all."

MLB Network Radio's Jim Bowden said on Friday afternoon that the Yankees had chatted with the Reds regarding Castillo, but none of the talks were recent. That was before the Yankees reportedly agreed to terms with free-agent pitcher Corey Kluber on Friday night.

That morphed into a false report Sunday night that a trade was done.

What does any of that have to do with Super Nintendo?

fwiw, I think this would be a good time to trade Castillo if the Reds weren't already going to be down Bauer, but losing two of the top three would be a real blow.
