The Red Sox quietly welcomed another cheater back into their organization this week.

Former video replay coordinator J.T. Watkins, who was suspended last season after MLB said he illegally utilized game feeds to help players steal opposing teams’ signs during a few games in 2018, is returning to the team as a member of the professional scouting staff, according to the Boston Globe.

"don't you know who i am?" is never a good look. add in the "hall of famer baseball person" and this is almost too good to be true. absolutely hilarious.

i've always thought tony larussa was a complete clown and didn't just look the other way when it came to his players cheating, but actively encouraged it. it's no coincidence e he was the manager of the A's when their steroid abuse was out of control (mcgwire, canseco, etc) and then the same thing happened in st. louis (mcgwire, edmonds, pujols). and those are just the obvious ones. i'm sure more than half of his players were always cheating.

Michael Lorenzen expects to be in Reds' starting rotation in 2021

Reds pitching coach Derek Johnson suggested in late September that right-hander Michael Lorenzen had “put himself in the conversation” for a rotation job in 2021. Lorenzen echoed that idea and perhaps took things a step further Wednesday in an appearance on MLB Network Radio on SiriusXM, telling hosts Jim Duquette and Jon Morosi that he plans to report to spring training as a starting pitcher



“My expectation is to show up as a starter and to finish the season as a starter,” said Lorenzen. “That’s where my mind is at, and I’m excited for it.”
